Kai & Bo Adventures is a small author site run by Toby Marsh. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect and why. The short version: we ask for as little as possible, we never sell it, and this site is meant for grown-ups.
What we collect
- Your email address, only when you type it into one of our opt-in forms to get the free story or series news.
- What you send us through the contact form — your name, email, and message.
- Privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics — aggregate page-view counts with no personal profiles and no cross-site tracking.
Why we collect it
To send you the free story and the occasional update about new books (only if you asked), to reply to your message, and to understand which pages people find useful. That’s all.
Who handles it
Our email list is managed on a self-hosted mailer that delivers through Resend. The site is served by Cloudflare. These providers process data on our behalf so the site and emails work — they aren’t allowed to use it for anything else.
We never sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, ever.
Unsubscribing
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and one click removes you for good. You can also ask us to delete your information at any time.
Children’s privacy (COPPA)
This site is written for parents, teachers, and other grown-ups, and it is directed to them — not to children. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Our sign-up forms ask for a grown-up’s email, and we never email kids. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we’ll delete it right away.
Cookies
We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Our analytics are cookieless.
